We will of course probably go again but will for one thing plan our seating and make sure we take things to make this more comfortable for us. Also when going to Lucas oil raceway the GPS does not pick this up, only picks up Lucas oil Stadium which is not the same thing. You are offered food and there are a few other amenities included but far from 300 dollars a person worth. They do have suites but suites are 300 dollars a person (a day not for the whole event) and they are not private as you share with other people. If you do plan to attend be sure to take fold up chairs and a rolling cooler if you desire cold drinks and a place to sit when not in the bleaches and of course ear plugs and a hat especially for really hot weather. The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, where NHRA's top Sportsman competitors battle one another for national, regional, and divisional championships, will celebrate its 20th year during the 2021 race season as it competes at premier racing facilities across the country, including The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. My husband enjoys this event but the heat was so very intense this year and with no relief it was not very enjoyable at all. There is one shuttle that comes to the parking lot to pick you up but considering only one you really had to wait a bit for it and once you paid to go into the raceway there was one shuttle to take you closer the raceway but once again only one but this one was a little quicker. With the vendors you could walk around and look at all that was offered and they were very friendly. There were some tents that were covered but I was under the impression if you were not a member of the NHRA you could not sit in these areas. At the very most they probably had 10 picnic tables on each side if that, so of course had no where to even sit. It was an incredibly hot day and I chose to leave the stand and go under the bleachers just to get some relief from the heat. They were out of lids and straws which is simply ridiculous to say the least. I brought a 24 oz cup of lemonade with ice (although was not very good was full of ice) for 5.50. The raceway is very big to say the least with a lot of food vendors charging outrageous prices for drinks, food. We sat on the spectator side which is actually a very long walk around and if you choose up a staircase into a covered overpass (stifling heat) and than down another staircase. I guess you could ask the person that's sitting in the seating you chose when you paid to move and I guess we would of but there actually was plenty of seating at the time we went up so we did not have to deal with that. We paid 69 dollars a person to get better seating, but don't really think this really matters as even though seats do have numbers on them ( aluminum benches) they are not really reserved. For general admission it is 56 dollars and this changes a couple of dollars depending on the day you choose to go. NHRA is a very big event and I was surprised at the poor accommodations for the fans that is offered especially considering the amount you pay for this. This is one of the 3 times we have attended the NHRA and but is my first review.
